We headed up North this past weekend to see some friends and make a surprise visit to my sister, Nicole. Lily is a traveling trooper, and seems to do well at making friends wherever we go! Our friends Jim and Liz recently moved into a new home in the Bay Area and welcomed a new little girl all in the month of January. I guess you could say they've been busy! Their youngest son, Ben, was pretty sweet with Lily.

We then made the short trek over to Granite Bay for a Saturday evening surprise party for Nicole. She and Craig walked into their friends' home, where Nicole expected to have cocktails before a dinner theater double date, and instead found a house full of friends and family. My dad, Lynn, Jennifer, Jason, Lily, and I all traveled to be a part of the surprise. How fun!

Besides 50 rolls of absolutely delicious sushi from Nicole's favorite sushi restaurant, Craig ordered this gorgeous cake in honor of his wife:
Lily had a blast with her cousins, Lauren (holding Lily) and Gracie, too!
